Edamommy’s Vegan Diary: Free-range Toflamingo, anyone?
One edamommy attempts to cut meat out of her life.
I have a question.
There’s Tofurky, soy hot dogs, fakin bacon and soy sausage. In theory, you can use soy to make any kind of meat, right?
So, I think we should get really creative. If it’s just soy and not real critter, then why not:
Tofeasal – weasel
Tomingo – flamingo
Tofunky – monkey
Tofoceros – rhinoceros
Tofuffalo – buffalo
Tolar Bear
“Honey, your toshrew is getting cold!” “I’m not sure what goes best with tofaardvark. White or red?” “Mmmm. I’ll have the steamed tofedgehog.”

Don’t forget:
tofostrich - ostrich
tof–er–um–uck - well, this is a family friendly site, but I’m trying to describe soy faux duck, so you get the picture
And for all the animal testing we have:
tofanzee - chimps
tofabbit - bunnies

Love it.
Keep ‘em coming. Maybe I can get in touch with the Tofurkey marketing people and we can share our ideas!
We just got back from Orlando to see the new attractions at Busch Gardens (Jungala) and a new water park next to Sea World (Aquatica). Now I’m hungry for Toforca Whale.

“In theory, you can use soy to make any kind of meat, right?”–
Um, I thought offal–I mean matter–could neither be created nor destroyed?
You know I’m going to have to say anything other than REAL meat is simply tocheese, right?
Okay, I do like tofu on occasion (hot and sour soup in particular). I don’t think I’ll be sacrificing the squeaky-green nature of the site if I say I ONLY like it if it’s extra-extra FIRM.
