Eat your heart out, Betty Crocker!

Judging by our posts, I guess today’s a foodie kind of day here at KIWI! If there’s one activity I truly love, it’s baking. (What’s not to love about a project that you can eat once it’s finished?) Whether I’m in the mood for cookies, cake, or my favorite—banana bread, I skip the bakery or coffee shop and go instead to the kitchen. But guess what? As much as I love home-baked treats, I don’t always have the time to make them. Thanks to Truly Organic Baking, I can have my cake (or banana bread) and eat it, too.

Truly Organic Baking has a ton of kosher, organic boxed mixes, but since I’m a banana bread freak, I opted for that plus the pancake mix. After combining 3 ripe bananas, 2 organic eggs, and 1/2 stick of organic unsalted butter with the mix, I popped the loaf pans in the oven and waited. My patience was definitely rewarded—an hour later, me and my family had devoured the bread. What’s more, we thought it was some of the best banana bread we’ve ever had (and we’d know!). The next time you’re looking for a homemade treat in less time, skip the conventional mixes and go for Truly Organic Baking!
