The ABCs of Yoga for Kids

Last week, my eight-year-old cousin asked if I have any good yoga postures for her and her girlfriends to try out. But while I try to get my down-dog on once a week to keep my body limber and reduce stress, a yoga expert I am not. In an effort to help her out, I turned to The ABCs of Yoga for Kids by Teresa Anne Power and Kathleen Rietz. Am I glad I did! Power, a   certified yoga instructor, helps kids 3-8 shape up and de-stress while encouraging imaginative thinking with  cleverly-named postures like frog pose, shark pose, and swan pose.  What’s more, Rietz’s illustrations help little yogis follow each asana to a tee.
