I bought a clothesline this winter. I’ve used it, when ever the weather was dry enough, for drying my family’s bed sheets. I resolve to start using it more now that spring is here, and to dry some of our clothes on it too!

I plan on learning how to make my own cleaning products (laundry detergent, household cleaners, hand soap) in order to reduce the amount of harmful chemicals in my house, and to reduce the use of plastic bottles. I am really excited aboutr this – it should be great for my budget too!

I bought several commuter cups for coffee so I don’t waste a paper or styrofoam coffee cup on a daily basis from the place I get coffee each morning.

For Earth Day, I am walking everywhere.I am trying to be careful about lights.I keep them switched off.Also I am using paper bags when I shop.I love whole foods.I always take my own bag when I go there to shop so I have a chance to donate too.I love veggies so I invariably use them in my meals.I recycle.Moreover I dont spend so much time on tv nor computer.I have just recyled my papers,glasses also some bottles.

I’m a Professional Organizer in Chicago and owner of THE CHICAGO ORGANIZER (www.chicago-organizer.com), and I resolve to bring my clients’ items they’re disposing of to the right places: donation items to worthy charities, hangers to the drycleaners, plastic bags to the grocery store, sheets and towels to PAWS, electronic recycling to Goose Island, recycling to the Peggy Notebart Nature Museum drop off bins, etc! (Even if it means I have to go to more drop off locations than I normally would have to if everything just got dumped in the garbage.)

I will continue to RECYCLE RECYCLE RECYCLE even though someone stole my curbside recycle bin. Since the incidence, I now retrieve extra boxes on my bi-monthly trips to Costco to store my reccycled goods. I have managed to get my trash down to one bag a week since I began my beloved recycling and I now bring my trash from my lunch break home to be recycled. Recycling ROCKS!

For earth day I am driving less, walking to locals stores more. I live a mile from Whole Foods and the District so I walk there now. I continually try to use the reusable bags at various stores. If I forget, I ask for paper, not plastic.

I could not figure out exactly how to post my greenwise idea–
dont think you posted it well, PLEASE forward or tell me how to find/do it properly
but here it is:
No more paper napkins at my house-
only cloth ones-which can last thru sev. meals +
it made me pull out the pretty silver monogrammed napkin-rings, that were sitting in a drawer–which we got for wedding present long-time ago

My mission is to teach my children well. They know to recycle, always take bags to the store with us, drive a fuel efficeint car, and they want to plant their own food to eat – so that is our biggest goal this spring.
